The project
Tontines — the rotating savings groups at the heart of financial life in French-speaking Africa — are still too often managed on paper or spreadsheets, with the disputes that follow. TontinePro answers a constraint that web solutions ignore: the application works 100% without internet, because tontine meetings don't wait for connectivity. All data stays on the user's computer; an optional encrypted cloud is used for backup only.
What users get
- Complete management of one or several tontines — members, meeting cycles, contributions with payment tracking, financial movements
- Real-life financial rules — sanctions, absences, per-meeting attendance, exemptions and adjustments
- Secure cycle closing — a closed cycle can no longer be modified; no entry can be lost mid-way
- Printable PDF reports and exports, graphical statistics (overview, per tontine, per member), a meeting agenda
- 3 access roles — administrator, treasurer, reader — every action is permission-checked
- A tamper-proof audit log — every sensitive action is recorded in a cryptographically chained history (SHA-256): the past cannot be altered unnoticed; deletions require a reason
- Encrypted cloud backup (AES-256) — optional: data leaves encrypted, the cloud cannot read it; full restore onto a new device, including at first launch
- Bilingual FR/EN, built-in help guide
